Are you content with your content?

If not, perhaps it’s time to work on your content strategy. It may seem daunting, but as long as you implement your strategy consistently, it can be done. I came across an interesting post on Business2Community and thought I’d share some of their tips with you.

1. Create content for customers. You’re probably aware that the content you post should be focused on meeting consumers’ needs, not on advertising your product or brands. Content should give consumers a reason to convert, so focus on providing solutions to their problems and on delivering value. Moreover, better content increases your chances for higher Google rankings, as it’ll show that you’re an expert in your industry.

2. Share good content. You don’t have to create all the content yourself; sharing great content is important, too. While you help worthy content reach other people, consumers will discover your own content at the same time. Also, make sure your content is shared on social media by linking to it on various platforms, encouraging discussions to drive engagement.

3. Measure content marketing performance on social media. Knowing whether your content marketing works is impossible without measuring certain aspects of it. For example, metrics you should look at on your website include visits, time spent on the site, bounce rates and where traffic comes from. For Facebook, you can check Insights to see which posts were the most successful in terms of engagement or discover what time of day your audience is online.
